I have looked into this and on the 6" BSA brake, the dimension from the pivot to the cam is shorter than on the Sunbeam. It may be possible to weld up the pivot points on the shoes and recut to the correct dimension, but the material does not weld well. Worth a try if all else fails!

A good project for someone to pick up would be to have these machined from solid or even 3D printed id  adequate strength can be demonstrated.

I'll look in my box of bits,nagging in the back of my head is the thought that I have a set of smaller shoes for a sunbeam.

Failing that, could anybody provide me with detailed measurements of the correct article?

I have Druid style forks with a 7" diameter brake plate with the long torque arm and the 6" hub...it sounds odd but I believe it is correct according to the pictures in the 1927 parts list.
A previous owner has fitted some more modern brake shoes but they are a very poor fit and braking is certainly below what I would expect...I would expect at least a poor front brake, not abysmal!
