Thank you Thomas, I am not very good with computers but I have changed it now.

Hi Colin, I just see that you use your email address as the avatar name. I recommend not to do that. It is not protected inside the forum and every external person/machine can see it. Thank you all for your kind words, it has turned out far better than I could have ever hoped for, the experts could tell you its not all original but you can only work with what you have and the thought of attending auto jumbles and rummaging through stuff doesn't appeal to me, there were a number of missing parts which I had to make namely rear stand, headlamp brackets, battery holder, rear rack plus I fitted a modified Indian side stand to make the bike more user friendly to me.

I have just started the process to re register the bike with the DVLA with the help of the club of course, I have the RF60 so I will be able to save the original number hopefully.

Thanks again

I'm usually pretty cautious about getting too enthusiastic. That's especially true here, since there are plenty of experts in the Sunbeam community anyway. But this is truly exceptional, especially since the restoration took only 5 months—and given the condition it was in to begin with. Hats off!

I have finished rebuilding the 1932 Model 9 I collected from North Wales in May of this year, it was in large lumps and bits in boxes just how I like to find them please see photo. It was straight forward rebuild apart from head needed new exhaust threaded insert, rocker box needed sorting after some welding work in the past, battery holder had to be made along with read stand plus I made a rear rack. All new wheel and fork spindles made along with nuts.

The bike was finished on Saturday 3rd and on Sunday we took it and the Federation to the Mid Wales Classic bike show where it won best pre war and best in show so that was very pleasing indeed.

Kind regards Colin
