Title: Rear carrier to suit 1937 Lion
Post by: Greybeard on August 28, 2015, 03:09:21 PM
Before I buy a pipe bender and some half inch steel tubing, has anyone got a rear carrier that needs a 500 side valve bolting to it?   :)

Thanks, John. I see he has a contact email address. Ill drop him a line to see if he can do me a part built rack so that I can braze or weld the legs on to suit my frame.

I got a carrier made by the chap who advertises on ebay - Duncan. I got him to make me the top frame as I didn't have a tube bender to do the job and he supplied me with the legs loose so that I could braze them on. It's turned out pretty well, I thought, despite my shiny 2 pack paint showing up the paintwork on the mudguards  :-\ All ready for the wicker basket containing the Primus stove and the brew kit. Roll on summer  ;)

If anyone needs any similar work doing, I'd recommend his. He can be found on welbikes.gb@gmail.com
