Title: The little copper pipe under the rocker box head

What is it for?
Which way is it supposed to point?

Model 8.

I have stripped it does but not paid attention to this little pipe.

It appears to point at the inlet valve but I though it would be of more use pointing at the exhaust valve to lube and cool...

I would have thought exhaust as well..the exhaust is more likely to seize than the inlet.
I don't have a problem with my '32 9A as both the valve guides have oil feeds..John
