Title: Model 9 oil tank,how much oil does it take?

Hi

I wonder if anyone can tell me what the correct amount of oil my 1936 Model 9 should take?

From what I have read, the oil capacity of your M9 would be 6 pints. Thats OK if you are filling from scratch, but if you are topping up, aim to leave at least 1.5 inches below the filler neck to allow for oil sitting in the crankcase. It won't do any damage if you overfill, but it will get messy!
