Post by: simonescort on September 28, 2015, 08:15:00 PM
Any one got a photo of the battery mount on the near side   as all I have is the two nuts & bolts passing through the side mounts with a piece of backalit on each

If you look at the post concerning the brake arrangement you will see the battery carrier arrangement see link below. You can get a fiberglass shell for a Lucas T shaped battery and fit it the case. It is bolted to the carrier. A pair of spring clips hold the battery case top. Someone is making them I've seen them at an autojumble but I can't remember who maybe some ones else knows?

just looked on line and Classic Bike parts do one with a 6V battery to fit inside for £34 I need to completley rewire the bike as the previous owner must have pulled all the wiring off as there is no wiring on the bike what so ever.

also looking at the front brake cable which needs renewing I have  realized looking at a few photos of other ones the arm on the drum is facing the  rear & not to the front  does everyone get the bits & make there own or get them ready made as front cable has a funny arrangement with the adjuster 1/2 way up the cable on the frame & a section of outer just cover the inner on the bottom.
