With reference to the attached photo I think shafts 7 and 8 are for a rack and pinion gearbox and 6 for a "crash" 'box, judging by the worn middle gear. But when did the crash 'box use the very wide small gear?
Maybe I've been sold a pup and they are actually AJS but there are other pieces of a rack 'box in the basket. Unfortunately I haven't received them yet so can't check any other details.
Any thoughts?
