Title: Recommend a decent insurance company...
Post by: Andy Cubin on October 09, 2015, 07:43:31 PM
... if there even is one!

I have bought a 33 Model 8 and need cover pretty quickly while I import it form Europe.

Perhaps someone can recommend a good insurance company to cover her and my 06 Bonneville?

Cheers

Andy

Peter James wins hands down for classic bikes in my experience. However, their approach can be idiosyncratic on moderns - they would only cover my 2005 Suzuki once it was 10 years old, but I don't think that's a hard and fast rule judging by others' experiences.

My cover for a modern and a classic was £147 this year comprehensive - agreed value for the classic (then a Triumph) and full UK and EU breakdown cover for both.

When I just had a classic on the policy it was around £80, and I had the modern with Bennets for a similar amount although that didn't include breakdown cover.
