Title: East Yorkshire Auction - Saturday 3rd November
Post by: Greybeard on November 02, 2018, 05:10:30 PM
Hello, folks.
Sorry it's a bit short notice but I found out about this just this afternoon.
Dee Atkinson & Harrison are holding a vehicle auction at Sledmere Hall in East Yorkshire at 12.00 tomorrow. I went along to have a look whilst we were out on the bike - always a reckless thing to do. Only this week I found myself buying a very tidy Moto Morini 3 1/2 ostensibly for Mrs Greybeard to ride  ::)
Anyway, there are a couple of Sunbeam lots for sale that may be of interest.

LOT 1044 is a very nice looking 1938 Sunbeam Model 14 Semi-Sports reg number EVR528. It's sold with a V5C but the notes say that the frame number on the V5 and previous MOTs don't match that of the frame itself. Estimte is £6000 to £8000, which I thought was a tad ambitious, but who knows?

LOT 27 is a chrome/black Sunbeam Model 14 tank and headlamp (frosted glass) that are in very good condition and eminently useable as they are. Estimate is £80 to £120

I'm not going to the auctionas the temptation to punt a bid or two on a rather beautiful Douglas MkVmay just prove to be too much  ;)

The Sunbeam tank and headlamp made £400 (plus premium)  :o The Sunbeam 250 didn't sell - neither did a very attractive 1950 Douglas MkV that I could have been seriously tempted by and which I didn't think was expensive at £4500. What might have been eh?  ::)

I notice Sunbeam parts are becoming seriously expensive at auctions.
