Post by: Thomas on September 05, 2023, 03:11:05 PM
I lost a girder link nut. Can somebody tell me the thread size? Cheers, Thomas

Left hand side is 1/2", BSF (16tpi) I think, but may be 20 or 26tpi, RH side is 3/8" BSF (20tpi) but may be 26tpi. Sorry I can't be more precise, but it should be easy enough to check.

According to the parts list, there should be adjusting nuts on the LH side of the fork.

Yes, there are also adjusting nuts behind the girder links. The girder link nuts are ½ inch 20 tpi BSC (british standard cycle). I have gotten two of them from Motalia today. The Motalia part number is NCL12020. However, they are 7.8mm thick instead of the original 5.4mm. One can make them thinner on the lathe but that's not really necessary.
