Title: Correct carb for a 1936 model 9
Post by: max on June 05, 2013, 05:09:11 PM
Hi,

I've been looking for the correct carb body for my 1936 series 2 model 9 for a bit, as I'm currently using a similar clip on type from a period Norton, minus the body drilled holes. Can anyone give me the serial no of the correct item?

Jim

You need an 89/001. This has an alloy body with air holes around it. Details are:

Choke size:  1 3/32"
Main jet: 170
Slide: 29/4
Needle pos: 3
Float chamber: 64/089

I hope that helps!
