Title: Cam Shims
Post by: Russ on May 21, 2023, 02:42:47 PM
Should the Cams for a 1927 model 9 have some kind of shim between the cam bushes and the cam shaft...my old Norton has...if the Sunbeam should have shims would they be for end float tolerance make up or purely just to stop the rubbing surfaces from wearing?...if they're a tolerance make up how the heck do you measure the float to workout the shim size...your advice much appreciated....cheers

Shims don't appear in the parts list, so it is safe to assume they were not used.
