Title: Model 9A front brake shoes.
Post by: Exstress on December 17, 2022, 04:54:00 PM
Hello,

I am rebuilding one of the Les Hobbs bikes from boxes of bits.  There were 2 pairs of rear brake shoes but no front ones within the boxes.  Would anyone wish to swap a pair of front shoes for a brand new pair of rear shoes or perhaps sell me some front shoes if you have any spare?

Thanks in anticipation.  John

Hi John.
Sorry i can't help you out..I passed on a set of front shoes to someone else a year or so ago..
You don't say what year your bike is. On my 1932 bike the shoes appear to be the same casting front and rear, if yours are like that you could get the rears machined to fit the front. i was contemplating that with my spare rears till I managed to find the correct front ones..

Thanks for the reply John.

I will try to get them machined to suit.
