Just found this while searching for something else - scroll down the page a little and they list all sorts of double helix washers

I believe there is a spring maker in Raydon, Essex.
He made some brake arm return springs for a Vincent for a friend of mine..Maybe you could get a few made if the cost is reasonable..I'll try to get the address..
Also how about posting some dimensions, someone may have one lurking in their nut miscellaneous box..John

Hi Folks
Well I have done some more (extensive) searching on the net and drawn a complete blank. There seem to be one or two people that list Thakeray washers but nothing as thin (40 thou) on the rocker shaft.

I would have a go at grinding down a thicker washer but again I cant find any of the correct dia.
If anyone does have any ideas I would be most grateful.

ps Just found these folks so will give them a try next week http://www.springlockwashers.com/

Hi folks
Does anyone know where I could source a rocker shaft spring from. I have just dismantled by rocker box and one of the springs is broken. The unbroken spring is shown in the attached photo.
