Title: 1937 Model 9 Overhaul
Post by: Thomas on June 07, 2021, 08:41:51 PM
Hi all!

During the last months Joe Rayner (former oily rag of the Napier-Railton at Brooklands) and me overhauled the engine of my 1937 Model 9. We documented the job for the benefit of everybody. If you are interested you can download the pdf (~8Mb) here for the next 30 days:

Because we discovered a problem with oil in the sump we added a respective chapter called "Postscriptum"about the ball valve. All previous parts remain unchanged. The new version can again be downloaded for the next 30 days. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Folks
Thomas and Joe have done a grand job here and this document is a valuable resource for anyone rebuilding a Model 9 engine. Thomas has kindly agreed that the document can be permanently stored here on the Forum and to that end I have split it into two parts to meet the forum post size.

Finally many thanks to Thomas and Joe for putting this together, it takes a lot of effort and it is appreciated.

Graham
