I lost one of the two relatively long dome nuts on the 3/8 inch saddle spring bolt. Does anyone know where I can get them?
Cheers, Thomas
Hi Thomas
I could make you one, if you could do a drawing with the dimensions.
Graham
Hurray! What a quick answer. :D I already thought it will be impossible to get it, Graham.
Its overall length is 33mm, the diameter and length of the cylinder part is 13mm and 24mm, respectively. I guess the 3/8 thread is BSF. The wrench size is 15.5mm (5/8 inch?). Do you also have, by chance, a respective chamfered washer? If not I can ask a local workshop.
Cheers, Thomas
Hi Thomas
See attached for a drawing, let me know if its correct.
I am not sure what you mean by a chamfered washer can you clarify.
Graham
Wow, that is it! I am impressed about what can be found in the club... :D By chamfered I mean a phase on the outside of the washer. Like a wedge shape (see pic). The washer is obviously made in a lathe.
Chamfer, phase, wedge... Gosh! English can be quite difficult... :o
Ok I understand, what is its thickness and external dia I presume the hole is for a 3/8 bolt.
Graham
The outer washer diameter is 19.5mm and its thickness is 2mm. Yes, the hole is for a 3/8 bolt.
Hi Thomas
Nut and washer are ready. I have sent you an email ref address to send to.
Graham
Tha's so great, Graham, I really appreciate this! Long live the MSC&R!!!
