Rocker Box Side Plate screw. Model 9 1930

Well I think I have found out what its for courtesy of Les Hobs.
It is there to allow oil to be added to the rocker box on newly built engines, basically there is a small reservoir in the rocker cover that can have oil fed into via the screw hole. The oil then splashes on to the valve stems.

Hi Folks.
I have just dismantled my 1930 Model 9 Rocker box and was wondering if anyone knows the purpose of the screw on the side plate. As far as I can see it does not seem to do anything.
