The 1924 SV models were fitted with a two-way tap, and this really is the best way since oil is usually lost through the mainshaft bearing into the chaincase. I use a semi-fluid grease in my 1926 M5 (1/2 Kg is plenty) but still give it a pumpfull on every ride. So far, so good!
