Kick start block – That is never normal for any vintage motorcycle unless you are at Top Dead Centre (TDC). But for that the motor has a valve lifter.

Oil leak at the valve gear cover – There is no valve cover at the 1936 model. Do you mean the rockerbox?

Kickstart not moving – See above. Might be problem with the gear box?!

The small video clip shows drastic play in the crankshaft. This isn't good and needs a complete replacement of all bearings. For doing so a motor strip down is in order. I did that recently for my 1937 Model 9. You can find the report in the club website at https://www.marston-sunbeam.org/technicalNotes/model9EngineRebuild.html. There are certainly some differences to your 1936 machine but it should help.

Hi all My name is Radek I'm  from Poland living in Scotland 13 years

Friday I'm buy a sunbeam model 9 1936 from classic motorcycles Ltd
From Northwich
The boy start the bike all good cuple times kickstart block and he tell me is normal for sunbeams
Yesterday I fire up the bike and have some oil leaking from valve gear cover all bolts been loose
I Tight them up and stop leaking oil pressure good and have oil in the tank
Fire up again and been running for a minute and stop self
Kickstar not moving
I take off cover from cluch side and try move crankshaft
Discovered very big play on the bearing and this cause engine stops
The old reg bike was ed9830 now have sxs 477 maybe someone know this bike
