This is a mid '20s (I guess) flat tank frame.

I don't have an answer for you i'm afraid..
Some sort of odd logic might suggest an EXPerimental frame.
any chance you could post a picture, it may help others more knowlegible than me..John

There are no frames with the EXP prefix on our Register. There five with EX, but there is no evidence to suggest the factory ever used this prefix. Some 1970s/80s restorers did use EX, however. We have EX 164, 166 and 168 on the Register, but these are for bikes from 1926 to 1934.

We have EXPn for a very interesting engine, but that is the only one. We also have five EX prefix engines. The same comments apply to these as to the frames.

I hope that helps, but I suspect it doesn't!
