Title: Clutch Cable
Post by: Andy Cubin on November 14, 2015, 12:52:11 PM
So!

The clutch plates are back together and I thought I'd spend a bit of time ensuring the plate spacing was constant when the clutch cable snapped.  Better now in the garage than 10 miles from anywhere I suppose.

A good source of clutch cable please anyone?

Best

I always make my own cables as my local Sunbeam dealer seems to have gone bust. Vehicle Wiring Products have a good range of components: www.vehicle-wiring-products.co.uk/VWPweb2000/homepage/home.html

You could also try Venhill: http://www.venhill.co.uk/Hoses_&_Cables_-_Motorcycle

As well as cables they also supply tools for upsetting the cable to form a ball before soldering. Very nice but rather pricy!

I always use a centre punch carefully applied as advocated by Radco.
