Title: Wheels Model 9
Post by: Cees van Rhijn on October 26, 2022, 08:09:26 PM
Hello my name is Cees van Rhijn (Netherland)
I am restoring an Model 9 Sunbeam from 1936. I started with the wheelhubes. The brakedrum swayed visibly. The flange-welding is  broken. I disconnect al the spooks and made a bracket to adjust the flange in proper position. After that I soldered it with Silver (600 degree is better). That was the front one.
The rear wheel is in a much worse condition. The bearings are in perfect condition but they repaired the flange by soldered with brass. (900 degree to warm). Now I make a new bearingtube and solder the flanges

question:
Is this problem typical or am I just unlucky?

Apologie for my poor written English
