Hi chaps
ok 1927 Model 9 hand the B&L hand pump / sight glass restored and a fine job was made of it but I have a question.....how does it work?.....by which I mean.....pump the plunger it draws up the oil which then pumps into the sight glass down the outlet and into the engine if the two way valve handle pointing to the front.....is that right I seem to have it in my head that the hand pump bypasses the sight glass as it has a one way sprung ball bearing stop valve system internally.....thinking logically though I guess it should pump the oil into the sight glass first otherwise you wouldn't see if it was working......thoughts please
