Title: Lucas SS47 Headlamp
Post by: wrx03ppp on February 06, 2017, 04:02:17 PM
Hi all

Does anyone have any pics they can send me or post of an SS47 headlamp with the rim removed? It is the one with the ammeter at the back and the switch concentric to the ammeter itself. My seems to be jammed up and I'd like to have an idea of the layout of the slots and rivets before applying too much force. It looks like the slots are in the rim and the rivets in the bowl rather than the other way around as with later types. Hope this makes sense.

Sean

If it's like an H52 which has slots in the rim and rivets in the rim then you push the rim from the edge towards the switch/ammeter and rotate anti clockwise. On the bike i have in the garage at the moment there is a very small arrow pierced in the rim at about the 10 0'clock position to indicate where a rivet is for alignment.3 sprung loaded pins push the rim forward to keep it locked in..john
