What price safety? Ive got no experience of the Indian made levers but I would want a retailer/manfacturer I could go back to - assuming I survived any failure.  ;)  A sunbeam deserves the best - treat it!

Does anyone have any experience of Indian made replica Doherty solid-type brake and clutch levers?

They are supposedly made from brass and chrome plated - just like the originals (so they claim haha)

The ones I am looking at are 1/3rd price of European manufactured replicas, which are very nice!

Just wondering how bad they could be. I want to fit a set to my Model 95L to replace the incorrect later folded steel type which just look horrid. I don't mind a bit of fettling to improve the pivot etc

Any experience out there? I would welcome any feedback
