Rocker arms

The rocker arm fits on a taper on the spindle and needs a shock to dislodge it, the keys can be tight fitting as well.

Thank you, Tony! Am I understanding correctly that the Thackeray washer presses the rocker outward? If yes, what stops it to go off?

Try pushing on the rocker to fully compress the Thackery washer behind it then tap the end of the rocker spindle with a soft hammer.

I am trying to disassemble the head rocker arms and I wonder how to do it. I can only assume that there are two keys on the push rod side, but I can't pull the arms out of their shafts. Is there a specific procedure?
